Veterinarians

Joseph R Hooker , DVM

Dr. Hooker Dr. Hooker graduated with his DVM degree in 1979 from Auburn University, College of Veterinary Medicine in Alabama. He grew up in Marion county and has been practicing here since 1981. Dr. Hooker is two time past president and current board member of the Marion County Veterinary Association, also a member of the Florida Veterinary Association and the American Veterinary Association. He has three cats, two dogs, and three horses. Dr. Hooker’s interests include spending time with his grandkids, gardening, flying planes, and fishing.

Dr. Andrew Howe , DVM

Dr. Howe Dr. Howe graduated with his DVM degree in 1999 from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine. He grew up in Marion county and began working here in September of 2001. Dr. Howe has special interests in internal medicine and surgery. He has a variety of pets at home. Dr. Howe also has a passion for fitness and biking.

Jennifer Pruitt , DVM

Dr Breder-Pruitt Dr. Pruitt graduated with her DVM degree in 2004 from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine. She was born in Miami, Florida and began working for Airport Road Animal Clinic in August of 2006. Dr. Pruitt has a special interest in veterinary dentistry. She owns one cat and three dogs (a doberman, labrador and a dachshund). Dr. Pruitt’s interests include enjoying the outdoors and spending quality time with her husband and their daughter & son.

Dr. Amy Clemons , DVM

Dr. Clemons Dr. Clemons graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine with honors in 2008 and received her Masters degree in Biology from the University of Central Florida in 2004. Dr. Clemons has a special interest in Animal Behavior and Dermatology. She has two dogs and two birds. Dr. Clemons’ interests include watching Gator football, playing tennis, and spending time with her husband and their son and daughter.

Dr. Amy Stone , DVM, PhD

Dr. Stone Dr. Stone graduated with her DVM degree in 1999 and her PhD in 2002 from the University of Florida. Her research interests are in immunology and vaccinology. She is now the Service Chief of the Outpatient Medicine and Dentistry Service in the Small Animal Hospital of the University of Florida as well as working part-time at Airport Road Animal Clinic. Dr. Stone’s personal interests include enjoying the outdoors and biking.


Clinic Staff

Autumn

Autumn Tilton Autumn began working here in 2007. She enjoys working in the boarding facility where she can spend time with the animals. She enjoys being a part of the weekend staff, which takes on large cleaning projects throughout the clinic. Autumn has a Chain King snake named Brya, a cat named Kova and a hamster named Houdini. Autumn is a student at Rasmussen College, majoring in Digital design and Animation, as well as Advertising. In her spare time Autumn enjoys drawing and painting, going to the movies, the beach, and spending time with friends.

Brenda

Brenda Walcher Brenda began working here in 1989. She enjoys working in the laboratory assisting doctors during exams, taking radiographs, and ordering all medical supplies for the clinic. She owns four dogs, three cats, and two birds.

Cheryl

Cheryl Vitale Cheryl started here in 2002. She enjoys working in the laboratory and assisting doctors during surgery. Cheryl has interests in emergency surgery and critical care. She has five horses, three dogs, and three cats. In her spare time Cheryl enjoys riding her horses, motorcycling, and spending time with family.

Danielle

Danielle Tilton Danielle began working here in 2004 as a kennel technician. She now enjoys working as a receptionist, as well as in the laboratory. Danielle has a Rottweiler named Bear and a deaf kitten named Carlisle.

Deb

Deb Avery 2 Deb started working at the clinic as a receptionist in October of 2003. She has three dachshunds, one jack russell and a lab mix. She also houses two parrots. Deb also enjoys being indebted to four problem horses: three Arabians and one Quarter Horse.

Deinna

Deinna Drew Deinna started working at the clinic in 2007. She enjoys being a veterinarian assistant providing care for animals and helping clients. Deinna has three Miniature Pinschers, two Chihuahuas, one English Bulldog, and one Persian cat. In her spare time she enjoys boating and taking care of her family.

Diane

Diane Arnold Diane joined our staff as a receptionist in 2005. She has a Shepard/Lab mix named Sallie and two cats named Trick and Mini. Diane enjoys spending time with her family and gardening in her spare time.

Emily

Emily M.
Emily joined our team in 2009 as a lab technician. She enjoys assisting doctors during surgery and radiology. She has five cats and two dogs. Emily received her Bachelors degree in Animal Science from the University of Florida in May of 2011, and has plans to apply to the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.

Erica

Erica Vogeney Erica started working here in 2007. She works in all areas of the clinic. She is certified in Veterinary Assiting and Animal Care. She has two cats named Bonkers and Lola. She enjoys spending time with her Husband and their new addition: Baby Zackary.

Helen

Helen Walters Helen has been assisting our surgical patients since 1997. She enjoys spending her spare time with her grandchildren, riding and training her horses, and likes to go air boating.

Jessie G.

Jessica_Gries Jessica joined our kennel staff in 2008. She enjoys working in the boarding facility and other areas of the clinic. She greatly enjoys bathing and being able to play with the boarding dogs. Jessica owns a three pugs: Mimzie, Harley and Clyde. In her spare time she enjoys going out to the movies, the beach, and doing fun activities outdoors.

Karrie

Karrie Addison

Karrie began working here in the summer of 2011. She enjoys working in the kennel and playing with the boarding patients. She has a dog named Kaiser. She previously graduated from University of South Florida, majoring in History. She is currently attending College of Central Florida for the Equine Studies program.

Kayleen

Kay_Jones Kayleen began working for us in 2005. She enjoys helping throughout the clinic, as a receptionist, in the laboratory, and in the boarding facility. Kayleen has two dogs and one bird, a Sun Conure. In her spare time she likes to ride horses, walk her dogs, baby sit, read, and enjoys school.

Kristen

Kristen Vendur

Kristen originally started working here in 2005. In 2006, Kristen relocated to Georgia to start a family and further her degree in Business, and in 2011 she rejoined our team. Kristen currently owns a dog (Angel) and a horse (Sweet). Kristen participates in horse shows and is currently training her daughter to show as well. While away from work Kristen enjoys spending time with her husband, her daughter and her son.

Lindsay

Lindsay Lindsay began working for our clinic in 1999. She has three horses, four dogs, five cats, one rabbit, and one duck. In her spare time Lindsay likes to go horseback riding, fishing, boating, flying, and enjoying Lake Weir.

Megan

Megan McNatt

Megan started working here in 2011 as a kennel technician. She is currently working on a degree in animal biology with future plans of attending vet school. She enjoys spending time with her animals and training horses when she is not at work.

Melissa

Melissa

Melissa started working here in 2010 as a lab technician. Melissa is fairly new to our clinic but loves it here. She has four cats and is hoping to get a puppy soon! She enjoys learning new things and meeting new people & their pets.

Sharon

Sharon_Betcher

Sharon began working for Dr. Hooker in 2007. She enjoys working in the boarding facility, taking care of canine and feline boarders. Sharon has two cats: Rudi an orange tabby, and Beanie a gray longhaired tabby. During her spare time Sharon enjoys going out to dinner with family and traveling with her husband on their Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Teresa

Teresa_Tilton Teresa was hired onto our staff in 2003. She enjoys working in the lab assisting doctors and helping clients and their pets. Teresa also enjoys working in the kennel where she is able to spend time with boarding animals. She has one dog, one cat, one conure, several koi and goldfish. In her spare time she likes tending her ponds, rescuing and releasing wildlife, and gardening.

Tracy G.

Tracy_Ginn Tracy has been with Airport Road Animal Clinic since 2000. Tracy handles human resources responsibilities at the clinic along with being a receptionist. She currently has two cats (Leo & Mia) and two dogs (Molly & Madison). Native to the area, Tracy enjoys gardening, decorating, traveling, cooking and shopping.

Tracy L.

Tracy L Tracy has been with us since 2002, working in all parts of the clinic. She has two dogs named Lil Bit and Rita along with a cat named Fancy. Tracy enjoys swimming and gardening during her spare time.
