Welcome to the Surgery Suite |
Our surgery suite has two surgery tables and anesthesia machines. We have a separate area for instrument cleaning, pack wrapping, sterilization and storage. We maintain two steam sterilization units for sterilization of surgery packs and instruments. |

Anesthesia |
Patients get a preanesthetic injection to calm their fears and get them prepared for the general anesthetic; this also decreases pain during the post operative recovery. We use sevoflurane as the general inhaled anesthetic because it is considered the safest product available, with very quick recovery after surgery. |

Surgical Monitors |
Top of the line monitors are used during surgery to measure blood pressure, blood oxygen content, heart rate and rhythm (Electrocardiogram), body temperature, and exhaled carbon dioxide levels. |

Patient Comfort |
Patients are kept warm during surgery by our Bair Hugger warm air blanket system, this maintains metabolism and circulation at normal levels and aids in a swift reawakening from the anesthetic. |

Fluids |
We use fluid pumps to assure the correct administration of fluids. I. V. fluids of a balanced electrolyte solution are used to help maintain blood pressure and circulation and aid in a speedy recovery from surgery. Fluids also provide a venous port in case any additional medication is needed during surgery. These fluids are warmed prior to administration to help maintain normal body temperature. |
